This Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:30pm in the Coolidge Theatre, 104 Main Street, Wellsboro, Drowsy Maggie will play and sing a mixture of traditional and new bluegrass, folk, folk rock, old-time, Irish, Scottish and country music, both instrumental and vocal arrangements. The five-member band will perform songs by Alison Krause, Fleetwood Mac, Doc Watson, Danny Dill, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Nickel Creek, The Wailin’ Jennys and the Dublin roots band I Draw Slow as well as "The War is Over" from "Find Your Angel: The Story of Lorena" with music and lyrics by Verlon Thompson, Frank Serio and the late Sue Cunningham. Danny Shipe is the lead vocalist and plays guitar and banjo; Molly Cary is the lead and harmony vocalist and plays guitar; Daria Lin-Guelig plays hammered dulcimer and concertina; Carl Conn, the fiddle, flute and whistles; and Bruce Smith, bass. The location has been changed to the Coolidge Theatre to accommodate the audience. For this concert, audience members will be seated at tables so they can relax, are welcome to bring their own favorite snacks and beverages and enjoy the music. Tickets are $12.
