Community Processional Cross Carrying Walk for JESUS

• Will occur on Good Friday, March 29, 2024 at 10 AM.

We will congregate at the Wellsboro Chamber in front of the big old American Elm tree at 9:50 AM.

The walk & Cross Carrying will begin at the corner of The Green at 287 toward Pearl St. Then down Pearl St. to the Episcopal Church. We will stop momentarily at the church for a short (Prayer, Devotional, Song or Meditation). We will then go to Charles St. and walk to Main St., turn left on Main St to Norris St, where at the cross walk we will cross Main St to the Presbyterian Church and once again stop momentarily for a short (PDSM). From here we will walk down Main St to the United Methodist Church at Queen St.

We will finish here and again have a short (PDSM) We will sing songs along the way and take turns carrying the Cross in a Walk for JESUS! The entire walk is on the sidewalks of each street! Everyone should be courteous of pedestrians and stay to the outside of the sidewalk but not in the street. If you hope to be a cross carrier I would recommend gloves since it is a wooden cross (Splinters).

• On Saturday, March 30 2024 at 3PM Flowers will be placed on the cross for Celebration of Jesus’s Resurrection. On Easter there will be additional flowers available to be placed on the Cross at the Easter Sunrise Service or before the regular service. Flowers from home are also welcome.
