Pennsylvania College of Technology Workforce Development
Intro-MECH is a one-year introduction to mechatronics and maintenance technology aligned to NIMS Industrial Technology Maintenance (ITM) credentials. This course consists of four, 36-hour modules (144 hours total) each dedicated to one of four core mechatronics competencies: Mechanical Systems, Fluid Power-(Pneumatics/Hydraulics), Electrical Systems and Electronic Controls (PLCs & VFDs). This course is designed to quickly upskill less experienced maintenance technicians who are newer to manufacturing and maintenance to improve their troubleshooting and maintenance productivity. This training is also a great mid-career tune-up course or a primer for entry into the four-year Mechatronics apprenticeship program.
