March 23, 1pm–Women & Woodhicks: A Historic Look at Women in the PA Lumber Industry: Although overshadowed, women have always been part of lumber history. Join Museum Educator Jennifer Haines as she shines a light on the women who worked in remote logging camps, operated presses in factories, and held political posts who played important active roles in the state’s courageous and reckless lumbering past. The program will be held on-site with a virtual option available for those unable to come to the museum. Free with admission to museum, virtual option $5 (link to be sent out day before program, program will be recorded) Tickets for virtual option will go on sale in 2024.
