First Heritage Federal Credit Union was founded and chartered for business in 1954 by a group of 10 employees at the Ingersoll-Rand Company. As a community-chartered credit union we serve all people who live, work, worship, attend school or maintain a business or other legal entity in Chemung, Steuben, Livingston, Schuyler, Tioga, Allegany and Yates counties in New York and Bradford, Lycoming, Potter, and Tioga Counties in Pennsylvania.

We currently serve over 44,000 members in our communities with branches in Corning, Painted Post, Elmira, Elmira Heights, Horseheads, Addison, Hornell, Wellsboro, and Mansfield.

Our credit union and our staff are committed to strengthening our communities by supporting local charities and volunteering countless hours with several area non-profit organizations and supporting our youth through financial education initiatives.
